Roy Arthur Springer, 50, of Vermilion, died Monday, September 17, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic, after a short illness. He was born October 31, 1961, in Oberlin.
Roy enjoyed playing and coaching football, baseball and volleyball, and video games with his nephew, Dalton.
He is survived by his brothers, Lawrence Springer of Vermilion and Karl L. Springer II of Wakeman; sisters, Donna M. Hanak of Wellington and Sharon L. Dostal of Oberlin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Karl L. Springer I, and mother, Irene G. Springer.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 24, 2012, 5 P.M., at the Camden Township Complex, 50679 State Rt. 303, Oberlin, 44074 (corner of State Rt. 303 and State Rt. 511). There will be a private family burial at a later date.
