Ruth Gail Brooks, 70, of Elyria, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at New Life Hospice of Lorain. She was born July 6, 1942 in Elyria.
She enjoyed reading and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is survived by her sons, Corey A. Brooks of Sheffield Lake, James Brooks of Nevada; daughter, Cindy Lance of Nova, Ohio; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her brother, Richard Ebeling of Yorba Linda, California.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Ebeling; mother, Alice Ebeling; husband, James Carter Brooks; granddaughter, Samantha Lance; and sister, Mildred Reed.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Cowling Funeral Home, Inc., Oberlin, from 6 to 8 P.M. A funeral service will be Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 11 A.M., in the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
