Phyllis M. Rader (nee Bloem), 86, of Elyria, was received into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 1, 2012. She was born December 21, 1925 in Holland, Michigan and has lived most of her life in Elyria.
She was formerly employed at Elyria Memorial Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 31 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Church on the North Coast in Lorain, where she was active with the Prime Timers and Senior Saints. She enjoyed attending the Lorain County Fair and taking trips through Amish country.
Phyllis is survived by her sons, Thomas M. (Alanna) Rader and Ben J. (Gail) Rader, both of Elyria; daughter, Donna J. (David) Fandrich of Vermilion; four grandchildren; five great granddaughters and two nephews, Dr. Dennis Lehman of Elyria and Kenneth Lehman of LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Delbert M. Rader in 2006; sister, Wilma Lehman in 1985 and parents, Herman and Jeannette (nee Poelakker) Bloem.
Friends will be received Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A graveside service for the family will be Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10 A.M. at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Reverend Louis Kayatin will officiate.
