Eileen Hatfield, 76, of Elyria, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at her residence, following a brief illness.
She had been married to Sam Hatfield for 30 years and had been widowed for the past 28 years. Eileen wished to be buried next to her husband in Meador, West Virginia. She graduated high school and completed trade school. Eileen was the owner/operator of her own Cosmetology Salon and a mother to Carl Hatfield, Joann Egan, and Beth Persinger. She enjoyed attending church at Shepherd of the Ridge in Elyria, reading her bible daily, spending time on the phone and her computer, and visiting family and friends.
Eileen is also survived by two sons-in-law; six brothers; one sister; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Mullins Mahon; father, Wall “Doc” Mahon; three sisters; and one brother.
Friends may call Monday, October 8, 2012, from 2 until 4, and 7 until 9 P.M., at Wyers Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Road, Sheffield Township.
Funeral Services and Burial will take place in Meador, West Virginia.
