ELYRIA — An Elyria man who tried to bribe a witness against him in a robbery case by offering up a Chrysler has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James Miraldi imposed the sentence Thursday after Marquise Hollis pleaded guilty to bribery and aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and felonious assault for the January robbery that he had tried to buy the silence of the witness in.
Kimonique Blevins, 24, who also faces a bribery charge in the case, has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial.
