Kalman A. Mittler, 93, of Elyria, died suddenly Thursday, October 11, 2012 at his home. He was born June 29, 1919, in Elyria.
Kalman worked as a Clerk for the Elyria and North Ridgeville Post Offices for many years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp. in Libby, Montana. He enjoyed golf, music, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his sons, Glenn D. (Dianne) Mittler of Elyria, Reverend Roger L. (Mary) Mittler of New Knoxville, Ohio; daughter, Cheryl J. (Charles) Hite of Cheyenne, Wyoming; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances; mother and father, Rosa and Frank Mittler; brothers, Gene Mittler, Frank Mittler, Geza Mittler; and sister, Irma Sadowski.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012, from 6 until 8 P.M., at Cowling Funeral Home, 228 South Main St., Oberlin. Funeral Service will be 11 A.M., Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at the funeral home. Interment will be at East Pittsfield Cemetery
