Police log for Oct. 14

10:27 a.m. — 200 block Park Ave., reported theft from a vehicle.

1 p.m. — 900 block E. Broad St., a manager at Speedway said a security video captured a former employee palming the money and stuffing it into her bra after each sale. The manager believed the woman stole several thousand dollars, although she only admitted to taking $710. The employee reportedly admitted to the manager that she used the money for rent, food, a doctor’s bill and to get her nails done.

2:16 p.m. — 900 block West Ave., reported theft of copper pipes from an unoccupied, fire damaged home.

11:36 p.m. — 900 block Lake Ave., police said the front window of a barbershop was broken and a rock and chunk of asphalt were lying next to the broken window. A witness told police he saw a black male, wearing a black colored hooded sweatshirt, grab an object and throw it into the window, causing it to shatter. The suspect then reportedly ran northbound on Lake Avenue and turned right on Bond Street.
