Marshals seek 12 Lorain County fugitives in domestic violence sweep

U.S. Marshals have released a list of 12 wanted Lorain County fugitives as they join law enforcement throughout the country in the annual National Family Violence Apprehension Detail.

Each of the 12 faces felony domestic violence charges in Lorain County.

The are:

  • Cruz

    Brian A. Cruz, 49, of Lorain.


  • DeJesus

    Joseph L. DeJesus Jr., 35, of Lorain.


  • Gwynn

    Kevin D. Gwynn, 53, of Lorain.


  • Hill

    Torrey T. Hill, 33, of Lorain.


  • Isom

    Jeffrey D. Isom, 46, of Lorain.


  • Patterson

    Amanda Patterson, 26, of Sheffield Township.


  • Ramos

    Jose A. Ramos, 29, of Lorain.


  • Ross

    Antoine D. Ross, 32, of Lorain.


  • Thornburg

    William Thornburg, 39, of Elyria.


  • Todd

    Cleveland Todd III, 36, of Elyria.


  • Troutman

    Chris D. Troutman, 18, of Lorain.


  • Williams

    Joshuwa Williams, 26, of Elyria.



“The goal is to join together law enforcement agencies nationwide to serve arrest warrants and make probable-cause arrests for crimes such as assault, violation of restraining orders, no-contact-order violations and any other family-violence related crimes,” according to Deputy Tony Keffer, Marshals task force coordinator for Lorain County. “It is our hope that together we can send a message to offenders throughout the U.S. that no matter where they flee, we will work together to find them and hold them accountable.”

According to Keffer, 170 law-enforcement agencies from 22 different states participated in last year’s sweep along with probation departments, district attorney’s offices, shelter organizations and community members.

Results from the 2011 sweep include:

  • More than 4,000 nationwide attempts to serve arrest warrants.
  • More than 800 arrest warrants served nationwide.
  • Nearly 900 law enforcement officers participated.
  • 170 agencies from 22 states participated.
