Critter Chronicles: The Scientists

THE SCIENTISTS

From left to right, our little scientists are:Galileo (Leo), Rosalind Franklin (Rosie), Marie Currie (Currie), Annie Jump Cannon (Annie), Einstein (in the back). These sweet sweet babies have had a long rough few weeks. The short version of the story is a man has three dogs, none of whom are fixed – two females and one male. The shepherd boxer female “accidentally” got pregnant by his male pit bull. He was struggling to feed the three dogs so when mom had seven more puppies he couldn’t afford to feed them. Two of the puppies died prior to us finding out about them, we are guessing due to starvation. The puppies and mom were completely covered in fleas to the point they were anemic and they were so tin you could see every bone in their body. The first week we had them it was touch and go, but now they are doing awesome. They will be ready to go home after they are fixed approximately mid-November. Puppies will go home fixed, micro-chipped, dewormed and first round of shots.
