AVON — The intersection of Avon and Nagel roads is scheduled to reopen at 9 a.m. Tuesday as the completion of the Nagel Road-Interstate 90 interchange nears completion.
Signs notifying traffic of the reopening will be posted on Avon Road at the entrance of the Willow Creek subdivision 48 hours in advance.
Commuter traffic will continue as it has with drivers using Avon Road eastbound to Bradley Road in Westlake.
Barricades at the construction project limits on Nagel Road, 1,500 feet south of Avon Road, will be moved to just north of Avon Road at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Barrels on Nagel and Avon roads will guide traffic, according to the city, while barricades will close Avon Road at the border of Avon and Westlake.
The intersection of Avon and Nagel roads had been closed to traffic since June to help accommodate construction equipment and vehicles working on the new interchange.
