Virginia “Jenny” Smith (nee Spurlock), 66, of Elyria, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at her home while under the care of hospice. She was born September 29, 1946 in Logan County, West Virginia, to the late George and Bonnie Rose Spurlock.
Jenny was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the Kingdom Hall on Telegraph Road. During her travels, Jenny loved to collect anything from shells to rocks to dirt from places she visited.
She is survived by her husband of 46 1/2 years, James Harvey; son, James (Cindy) Smith II of Maryland; daughters, Sabrina (Brian) Lear of Elyria, Terry (James) Beard of Alabama, Teresa Smith of Elyria, and Susan (Jeffrey) McLeod of Alabama; six grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.
The Smith Family invites friends to attend a memorial service on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1 P.M. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 44715 Telegraph Rd., Elyria. Brother Larry Young will officiate.
The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst, handled the arrangements.
