Bona Marie Betz, 81, of Findlay, Ohio and formerly of Elyria, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Birchaven Village. Bona was born April 20, 1931 in Elyria, to Clem and Sadie (Dimmerling) Archer.
Bona attended St. Agnes Grade School and graduated from Elyria High School in 1950. She had been employed at Elyria Memorial Hospital in central supply from where she retired. She married Willard Betz and he preceded her in death in 2003.
Bona is survived by her son, Brad Betz; daughter, Tara (Darren) Oliver of Findlay; granddaughter, Krystal Betz of Findlay; sister, Dolores Gatliff of Findlay; brother-in-law, Dick Mittendorff of Berlin Heights, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Vern Archer and Paul Archer; and a sister, Ellen Mittendorff.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon, Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church-Downtown with Msgr. Michael Hohenbrink officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Elyria, at a later date.
