Ida N. Tassi (nee Bigelli)

Ida N. Tassi (nee Bigelli), 99, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012, peacefully with her loving family at her side.Ida married Arthur Tassi, Sr. and together they opened a delicatessen in Parma. They then founded one of the premier gourmet food stores at Shaker Square called Tassi’s. There they catered to the carriage trade for decades. Ida and Arthur also co-owned the Skyway Lounge on Brookpark Road until 1962, when it became the Brown Derby.

She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Tassi, Sr., Floyd Crognale and William Ross; loving mother of Arthur Tassi, Jr. (deceased) (Janet); cherished grandmother of Arthur J. Tassi (Marilyn); great grandmother of Lauren, Holly and Caroline Tassi; dear sister of the late Elpia Cogan, Eleonora Buresti and Alterina Reginelli. She is also survived and loved by Laura Monachino (Frank), Louis Tassi (Marlene), Joyce Gacek, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish, 6455 Engle Rd. at 10 A.M. (everyone please meet at the church). Final Resting Place will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
