Lorain police seek three more men in recent violent crimes

LORAIN — Police are looking for three individuals wanted in different violent incidents recently, according to Lt. Mark Carpentiere.

Anataeus Spencer, 30, of Lorain is wanted for a shooting outside of Gil’s International Lounge in South Lorain Oct. 6.

Shakem Crutcher and Sheldon Wilson are wanted in the Oct. 16 shooting of a man who was found lying facedown in the a living room at 1113 W. 18th St.

Eric Cruz has been arrested and Leron Atwater has turned himself in for a felonious assault at a South Lorain home.

Police went to 1772 E. 32nd St. on Oct. 10. The the victim was upstairs in his apartment sleeping and was awakened by a lot of loud noise and arguing coming from the down stairs living room, according to a police report. He got up to go downstairs to see what was going on, and he observed one of the men punching his cousin, according to a police report.

The victim was then ordered to lay on the ground by the suspect, and when he refused the suspect hit him in the left side of his head with a small black caliber pistol. The man was then knocked to the ground and observed the suspect male hold the gun up in the air and discharge a round from the pistol, the report said.

According to Lorain police Lt. Mark Carpentiere, it’s unusual to have so many violent incidents so close together.

“We just want to get these people off the street,” he said of asking for the public’s help.
