Michael John Krupar, 68, of Grafton, passed away in his home on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 following a long illness. He was born June 19, 1944 in Cleveland and had lived in both the Grafton and Vermilion areas for the last 21 years.
Mr. Krupar attended Max Hayes High School, graduated from RTC Great Lakes Naval Academy and served six years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. When his father, John retired, he carried on the family business in Cleveland and worked there his entire life. Michael devoted his life to Carole.
Survivors include his fiancee, Carole Lenzer of Grafton; his mother, Alice Krupar of North Royalton; siblings, Shirley Mayer of Brunswick, Allen Krupar of Hinckley, Janet King of North Ridgeville, and Laura Rummery of Broadview Heights. Survivors also include several nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Krupar; and his brother, Thomas Krupar.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 4 to 6 P.M. A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 10 A.M. in the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 708 Erie St., Grafton. Please meet at the church.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Vietnam Veterans or the Wounded Warriors.
