Ruth Angeline Szmanda Cinquemani

Ruth Angeline Szmanda Cinquemani, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at EMH Healthcare, Elyria. From her birth in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 30, 1923 until Tuesday she nourished people around her with love, faith and encouragement. She was born to Casmir and Marie (Baumann) Szmanda, the second of four children, Robert and Charles (Chuck), now deceased, and Raymond, of Antigo, Wisconsin.

Ruth earned a full nursing scholarship to Marquette University. Her education was interrupted by World War II and her elopement with high school beau, Paul Cinquemani. Together they had four children, Marie Myers (Susie), retired teacher, North Carolina; Paul, a CPA in Appleton, Wisconsin; Polly Dengel, M.D. of Avon and Rick, a professional musician in Skokie, Illinois. Her children grew up watching her share her trust in God through Bible study, selling children’s Bible Stories, and offering kind-hearted support to everyone around her. Retirement brought her and Paul cherished opportunities to travel in their motorhome, selling Paul’s invention, Vasebrakes System, at motorhome rallies around the U.S.

She is survived by 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

The Cinquemani family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at EMH Healthcare, especially the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit for their gentle attentiveness and loving care.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M., Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Community for Better Living, 7074 Columbia Rd., Olmsted Falls. Pastor Dean Cinquemani, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ruth’s name to The Community for Better Living, c/o Sharon Drake, Treasurer, 18950 Rockcliff Dr., Rocky River, OH 44116.
