Elyria police

Thursday, Oct. 25

5:48 p.m. — 100 Filbert Str., theft of Apple i-Phone valued at $500 reported at Elyria Foundry.

11:24 p.m. — 100 block Gateway Ave., a man reportedly breaks the front window of a residence with a tire iron after being asked to move out because he was smoking crack.

Friday, Oct. 26

6:10 a.m. — 100 block Woodbury St., $363 in cash stolen from Lorain Modern Pattern when a burglar pulled an air conditioning unit out of the wall to gain entry.

6:29 a.m. — 300 block Hilliard Road, theft of a garbage can reported.

12:37 p.m. — 100 block Lexington Ave., David A. Woodburn, 47, of Elyria, charged with theft and criminal trespassing after a complaint of a man in a hoodie going from back yard to back yard carrying a bucket. Woodburn acknowledged taking the bucket but not the 35 to 40 pounds of items in it.

1:45 p.m. — 300 block Fuller Road, Anthony Marcano, 20, of Cleveland, charged with trespassing after being warned three days in a row to keep away from Wilkes Villa.

1:54 p.m. — 800 block Infirmary Lane, Elyria Recycling reports suspicious material brought in for sale.

4:30 p.m. — 100 block Fox Hill Lane, woman told police a man punched and kicked her before taking her purse, saying she owed him for putting on hair extensions. The woman said she felt sick because she was pregnant and was kicked in the stomach.

10:09 p.m. — 100 Mill Stream Circle, theft i-Pad reported.

10:10 p.m. – 300 Oakwood Circle, woman complains of threatening messages.

Saturday, Oct. 27

12:28 a.m. — 100 Fox Hill Lane, resident of apartment shows police where someone entered and trashed the residence, smashing plates and throwing food as well as peeing on the bed and throwing cigarette butts on it.

1:11 a.m. — 400 block Wesley Ave., 32-inch Samsung television stolen in burglary. Entry was through a sliding door facing state Route 57.

8:15 a.m. — 1400 block West River Road N., resident said car parked in parking lot broken into and stereo and speakers worth a combined $400 stolen.

8:49 a.m. — 800 block of West River Road N., resident said basement window broken in apparent attempted burglary.

11:05 a.m. —Tattoo Lounge, 2 Kerstetter Way, police said plate glass window to former the Jim Coffee’s House shattered and business ransacked. Two vending machines broken into and cash register pried open with $200 stolen. Numerous items worth $1,400 stolen as well as $700 in tattoo ink . Owner believes burglary happened overnight.

3:15 p.m. — 300 block of 12th St., Jevon Pitmon, 37, 800 block of Middle Ave., Elyria, arrested and charged with violation of a temporary protection order. Pitmon’s ex-wife said she has a protection order against him, but he has made numerous harassing calls and sent harassing text messages. She said she saw him outside her window taking pictures. Police said they had observed many conversations and calls between the two.

Monday, Oct. 22

1:19 a.m. — 1700 block E. 30th St., police were sent to the area for a man who chased an alleged burglar who reportedly burglarized his neighbor’s home. The man told police he was outside doing yard work when he noticed a light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches, wearing a white ball cap, jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt, walk out of his neighbor’s home carrying a television. The man said he chased the burglar, who fled across East 30th Street, disappearing behind a house on that road.

Wednesday, Oct. 24

8:29 a.m. — 2100 block Hamilton Ave., a neighbor reported seeing three juveniles burglarize her neighbor’s home. She said a black female driving a silver four-door, older-model Grand Prix pulled into her neighbor’s driveway and a skinny juvenile black male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, ran into the house and came out with a flat screen television. The neighbor said a 5-foot-5-inch to 5-foot-7-inch black male with a short afro-style haircut, wearing all black, was in the car as well. The homeowner told police two boys, matching the description of the burglars, knocked on her door earlier that day and said they knew her children but had missed the school bus and asked to use her phone.

1:21 p.m. — 100 block W. Erie Ave., reported theft of a firearm from a vehicle. Police have a suspect but were unable to contact her at the time of the report.

2 p.m. — 100 block W. Erie Ave., Desmen D. Noble, 31, 1000 block W. 22nd St., arrested and charged with domestic violence and unlawful restraint. The mother of Noble’s child said Noble accused her of being with another man and went through her cell phone asking her who all the men in her contact list were. She said Noble punched her each time she answered him. She said he threatened to “knock her teeth out” if she saw her in Lorain.

10:18 p.m. — 300 block W. 32nd St., reported burglary of a residence. A woman who was in the home said the burglar may have had a key, because there were no signs of forced entry and her son had lost the house key at Central Park.

Friday, Oct. 26

4:10 p.m. – 1200 block W. 27th Street, woman placed purse next to bed and it was missing after she took a bath and made coffee.

8:27 p.m. – 1900 block Garden Avenue, stolen license plate reported.
