Claudia J. Slisko (nee Jarven), 63, of LaGrange Township, passed away surrounded by her loving family at home on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 following a long illness. She was born April 28, 1949 in Elyria.
Claudia was a 1967 North Ridgeville High School graduate, and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton. She treasured spending time with her daughters, and enjoyed various activities at her church, gardening, hiking, needlework, and quilting.
Survivors include her loving husband of 41 years, William J. “Bill”; daughters, Rachel T. Lehman (Brian) of Parker, Colorado and Susan M. Slisko of Reston, Virginia; additional survivors include her mother, Rosemary Jarven (nee Alflen) of North Ridgeville; sisters, Linda Jarven of Grafton, Mary Trisch (Donald) of Bay Village, Ann M. Etzold (David) of Rockledge, Florida; brother, Daniel P. Jarven (Trudie) of Oberlin.
Claudia was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Jarven.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 708 Erie St., Grafton, where the family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of Mass (please meet at the church). Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be private at St. Peter Cemetery in North Ridgeville.
Memorial contributions in Claudia’s memory can be sent to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church Building Fund or Mortgage Reduction Fund.
