A lifelong resident of Elyria and had attended Elyria High School, she obtained a STNA certification at the Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin. She enjoyed taking care of others and cooking for her family.
Mary “Sue” was a member of The Salvation Army of Elyria and was presently attending House of Praise Church in Lorain.
She will sadly missed by her sons, Richard O. Tarrant and Allen Tarrant-Shine, both of Elyria; sisters, Linda (Leroy) Ferguson and Judy Tarrant, both of Elyria; brother, Richard Tarrant of Oberlin; five granddaughters; one great granddaughter of Elyria; nephew, Darrien Fasnacht; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ozell Tarrant; twin brother, James O. Tarrant, Ransom Tarrant, Ronald D. Tarrant, Herman E. Tarrant; sister, Azell M. Tarrant; and granddaughter, Skyla La’Rae Tarrant.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. in the House of Praise Church, 4321 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where the Pastor Mark Heberand will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery.
