Mildred was a life time resident of Lorain. After taking ill, she relocated to Columbus with her loving daughter, Beverly Thomas-Carey. She was a dedicated member of The Lorain Democrat Women’s Club, and Lorain County section of the National Council of Negro women for many years. Mildred retired from Centel Telephone Company, Lorain Division, in 1990, after a distinguished career, after 35 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest Beverly and Fulisha Davis; brother, Amos Beverly; sons, Kent and Alan Thomas; and grandson, Ra-shon Thomas.
Leaving to cherish her loving memory are her children; son, Darrell Thomas (Sandra); daughter, Fulisha Holloway, Cleveland; daughter, Beverly Thomas- Carey, Pickerington; three grandchildren, La-Trice, Shaun, and Sherron; four great grandchildren, Shakira, Ra-shon (Bubba), Khaaron (Ron-Ron), and Tara; a life time friend, Osia Evans, Lorain; and a host of loving friends and family.
Family and friends may call from 10 A.M., to 11 A.M., Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Greater St. Mathews AME Church, 1909 W. 24th St., Lorain, OH 44052. Home going services well be at 11 A.M. Interment services immediately following at Resthaven Cemetery, Center Rd, Avon.
