9:03 a.m. — 300 block Furnace St., theft of a bicycle parked in front of an apartment complex. The bike was a 26-inch blue Roadmaster.
10:30 a.m. — 300 block Louisiana Ave., a man reported that his window was shattered and two tires on his vehicle were punctured by an unknown person. Police said there were no suspects or witnesses.
10:10 p.m. — 400 block Midway, reported theft of a purse, containing a Garmin GPS, from a vehicle. The vehicle’s owner said the purse contained no items of value, other than the GPS.
Wednesday, Nov. 14
12:15 a.m. — 1800 block Middle Ave., a 15-year-old girl arrested and charged with domestic violence. The girl’s mother said her daughter tried to break her vehicle’s window with a bottle after an argument and then punched her in the face.
Tuesday, Nov. 13
2:53 p.m. — 2600 block Denver Ave., reported burglary of a home. Police said the suspect kicked in a door and stole electronics and jewelry.
3:09 p.m. — 5100 block Leavitt Road, reported theft of an iPod Touch from a vehicle.
6:20 p.m. — 2700 block of Denver Ave., reported burglary of a home.
6:28 p.m. — 1800 block of E. 42nd St., an air conditioner had reportedly been removed from a window of a home, but police said entry did not appear to be made into the home.
8:30 p.m.— 1100 block of W. 14th St., a man reported hearing a loud noise in his backyard and seeing a tall, slender white man, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, walk from behind his garage. He said the unknown man said he was looking for his dog, but was gone when he got to the backyard. The man told police a piece of plywood had been pulled off of his garage window, but it did not appear as if anything else was missing.
8:40 p.m. — 5000 block of Oberlin Ave., Jose Perez, Sr., 48, same address, arrested on a warrant and charged with possession of cocaine. Perez said that cocaine found in his coat pocket did not belong to him and said he was set up by someone who had given the coat to him two months ago.
