Loyd “Kenny” Payne, 63, of Oberlin, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Wade Park VA in Cleveland, following a lengthy illness. He was a former resident of Elyria. He was born July 30, 1949 in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
Kenny served in the United States Army from 1969-1971. He was self employed for 20 years at “F & A West River Salvage” and was a member of Abundant Life Church in Elyria. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Mr. Payne is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary J. (nee Kimble) of Oberlin; sons, Floyd K. Payne (wife Melanie) of Grafton and Albert K. Payne of Elyria; grandchildren, Nicholas A. and Christopher A. Payne; mother, Elsie V. Clutter of Elyria; brother, Floyd W. “Pete” Clutter (wife Lois) of St. Petersburg, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, Denzil L. Clutter in 2002; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Flossie Payne.
Friends may call 6 to 9 P.M., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria. Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the funeral home. Rev.
