Margaret A. McVeigh (nee McDonald), 86, of Elyria, died on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Center Ridge Health Campus following a long illness. Mrs. McVeigh was born in Toronto, Canada on July 26, 1926 and lived in Elyria since 1950. She was employed for eight years at General Industries, at Elyria Manufacturing for several years, the MBJ School of Nursing, and finally at EMH Emergency Room as the Secretary for 12 years. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and she volunteered at EMH. Mrs. McVeigh was an avid reader.
Surviving her brother, Joseph McDonald of Canada; one sister, Therese Stanyer of Canada; several nieces and nephews; one step son, Donald McVeigh of Big Lake, Minnesota; one step daughter, Sandra Eddy of Elyria; and a dear friend, Connie Dunigan of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur C. McVeigh in 1996; two brothers, Walter McDonald and John McDonald; one sister, Lillian McDonald; and her parents, John and Florence (nee Bothwell) McDonald.
Graveside services with the Reverend Father John Vrana, Associate Pastor of St. Jude Church, will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2:30 P.M. at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
