Midview grad Josiah Holt and Elyria grad Tyler Almeida were named first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference football selection for the second straight season it was announced Monday.
Holt, a junior at Baldwin-Wallace, made the team this season as a wide receiver after making first team last year as a kick return specialist. He led the Yellow jackets in receiving this season with 41 catches for 642 yards and five touchdowns.
He also had 36 carries for 251 yards and two TDs and returned 13 kickoffs for a 25.8 average.
Almeida, a senior kicker for Mount Union, is eight-for-eight on field goals this season with a long of 37 yards and has made 62 of 66 extra-point kicks. He leads the undefeated Purple Raiders in scoring with 86 points.
Baldwin Wallace senior defensive lineman Joe Fitch, an Elyria Catholic grad, was a second-team pick after recording 41 tackles, including team highs in tackles for loss (11.5) and sacks (6.5). Fitch missed his entire junior season and parts of two others due to injury.
James Washington, a junior receiver at Muskingum and a Clearview grad, also made second team. He led the Muskies with 43 receptions (second in the league) for 666 yards and eight TDs.
BW senior quarterback Ryan O’Rourke, an Avon grad, made honorable mention.
