Browns CB Joe Haden returns to practice; CBs Dimitri Patterson, Buster Skrine still out

BEREA – Browns cornerback Joe Haden returned to practice Wednesday after missing the 23-20 overtime loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.

Haden strained an oblique Nov. 14 and missed practice last Thursday and Friday. He warmed up before the game Sunday but couldn’t go.

The Browns are 0-5 when Haden doesn’t play this year.

Even with the return of Haden, the Browns were short-handed at corner. Dimitri Patterson (ankle) and Buster Skrine (concussion) didn’t practice.

Patterson said Monday he was going to test the ankle Tuesday but wasn’t going to rush a return. He will likely miss his sixth straight game with a high ankle sprain and torn ligaments.

Skrine, who started for Haden against the Cowboys, was knocked out of the game late in the fourth quarter. Shurmur said he was “working through the process” of neurological tests.

The Browns were also without safety/special teamer Ray “Bubba” Ventrone (hand/calf), who missed the Cowboys game.
