James E. “JimBo” Riddick, Jr.

James E. “JimBo” Riddick, Jr., 46, of Elyria, passed away suddenly Friday, November 23, 2012. He was born in Queens, New York, coming to Elyria 38 years ago.

He was a graduate of Elyria High School where he played football, wrestled and was a member of the ski club and track team.

He attended Lorain County Community College, where he earned his associate degree in Science and had majored in Pre-Engineering, minor in CAD CAM and Auto CAD. He also attended Ohio State University, where he majored in Physics Engineering and minor in international business and CIS and was a State certified Tool and Dye maker for Camaco. Mfg Lorain.

He was a former Vice President of Lorain Youth NAACP and former Secretary of the Society of manufacturing of engines, he was on a Dart League called The Average Joe.

He is survived by his parents, Deacon James E Riddick, Sr. of Hubert, North Carolina; mother, Gladys “Marriel” Riddick of Elyria; a longtime faithful best friend, Michael Grissom of Elyria; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Friends may call Friday, November 30, 2012 in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 185 South Pleasant Street, Oberlin, at 11 A.M. until time of service at 12 Noon. Rev. Fred Bell will officiate.
