Critter Chronicles: Janie

Janie was picked up as a stray, and rescued from a pound that uses “heartstick,” a painful method of euthanization. Janie was scheduled to be euthanized and we couldn’t let that happen. Janie is housebroken, cratetrained and good with other dogs and kids. She has lot of puppy energy and would do best in a home with an active family that can teach and train her. She loves to play with toys and give kisses. Janie was hit by a car prior to us getting her. The injury healed and now Janie walks with a limp. She is not in pain and the vet said it will not cause her any issues unless she is overweight and does not stay active. She will have arthritis in that leg when she is older but who doesn’t or won’t? The injury doesn’t stop Janie and hopefully she can find someone to love her forever despite her limp.
