Browns employee commits suicide at team facility

An assistant groundskeeper for the Cleveland Browns committed suicide Saturday, a team source confirmed.

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported the employee hanged himself and the body was found in an equipment shed Saturday at the team facility in Berea.

“This is a terrible tragedy and our heartfelt condolences go out to the family,” the Browns said in a statement. “He was a good friend and colleague, and an outstanding employee. He will be missed by everyone in the Cleveland Browns organization.”

The Browns play the Raiders in Oakland, Calif., this afternoon.
