Lights twinkled and Santa Claus wowed. On Wednesday evening, Elyria families came back to Finwood Estates for the revival of a holiday tradition.
Holiday at Finwood kicked off with dozens of families taking in the display, comprised of more than 70,000 lights, made possible by $60,000 in community and corporate donations. To round out the event, local Girl and Boy Scout troops served hot chocolate and sang carols.
Admission to the park, just off North Abbe Road, is free. Elyria residents and attendees are asked to bring a canned or nonperishable food item that will be donated to Elyria Hospitality House.
Holiday at Finwood is open daily 6 to 9 p.m. through Dec. 22. For more information, call (440) 326-1500.
