Linda S. Johnson (nee Evans), 65, of Elyria, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at University Hospitals of Cleveland. She was born July 1, 1947 in Charleston, West Virginia and lived in Clendenin, West Virginia before moving to Elyria in 1954.
Linda was employed by the Elyria City Schools for 27 years, retiring in 2002. She loved her pets and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Linda is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Johnson; sons, Thomas (Kerri) Johnson and James D. (James Boyce, Sr.) Johnson, both of Elyria; grandchildren, Britney (Biagio) Caliri, Ryan T Johnson, James Boyce, Jr. and Charles Boyce, and a great granddaughter, Abigail Caliri; brothers, Jesse (Carol) Evans of West Virginia and Harold Evans of Elyria; and sisters, Roseanne Lane of Vermilion and Betty (Eddie) Gardiner of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Thelma Evans; brothers, Norman and Ernest Evans; and a sister, Frieda Evans.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 3 to 7 A.M. and Monday, December 10, 2012 from 10 A.M., until the time of an 11 A.M. funeral service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Reverend Chad Britt, Associate Pastor of North Ridgeville Church of God, will officiate. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
