Fugitive of the Week: Rape suspect believed to be hiding in Lorain County

U.S. Marshals say this week’s Fugitive of the Week is believed to be hiding somewhere in Lorain County.

Roy Young Jr., 42, is wanted by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force for rape, sexual assault and gross sexual imposition. It is alleged that he continually raped and sexually assaulted a girl who is now a teenager for the last 10 years.

Young is believed to be with his wife, Sherry Young, 36, who is wanted for stealing a firearm from her mother in Grafton, according to Deputy Tony Keffer, U.S. Marshals Service task force coordinator for Lorain County.

According to Keffer, the pair is allegedly getting ready to flee the state.

Young is a white male who is 5-foot-11 and 215 pounds with brown hair and black eyes, according to Marshals. He is believed to be in Lorain County but has a previous address of the 4700 block of Butler Road in Wakeman.
