John Edward Galish went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 6, 2012 at home surrounded by family. Born in Central City, Pennsylvania on August 21, 1934. John was preceded in death by his father, John J. Galish, his mother, Mary C. Galish; brother, James Galish.
He is survived by his sister, Rosemary Conzatti; dear husband of his wife of 53 years, Mary (Warzlow); cherished father of John David Galish, Andrea Shaffer (Galish), and Deborah Mason (Galish); loved fataher in law of Elaine Galish (Kiner), Scott Shaffer, and Duane Mason; devoted grandfather of Dustin Galish, Tyler Galilsh, Kristyanne Galish, John Devin Galish, Alex Mason, and Bronson Mason (and known by the name of “Man” by all of them).
John Edward Galish a proud U.S. Army Veteran, an employee of Dupont for 22 years, business owner of Tex-sol Plastics, a retiree of Valley City Steel. He enjoyed RV travel through 46 of the 50 states, a long time membership in GPAA, and European river cruises.
A public viewing will br held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 4 to 7 P.M. at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440) 322-4626 with a memorial service starting at 6 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be at 10 A.M. Friday, December 14, 2012 in The Chapel of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 708 Erie St. Grafton, OH. (Please meet at the Chapel). Burial will be private at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
