Ricky Allen Stuart, 66, of Spencer, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at his home, with ALS. He was born November 14, 1946, in Lodi, to Lylle and June (Nixon) Stuart. Rick graduated from Black River High School in 1965, where he played on a very successful basketball team. He was a member of several local bands in those younger days, playing keyboard for the Es Shades and The Evictors. He married Beth Ann Mauk in 1975 and had been a lifetime resident of Spencer.
Rick was employed by UPS for 33 years before retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Spencer United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also was a pro wrestling fan and liked snowmobiling and enjoyed playing softball with his three boys.
Surviving are his wife, Beth Ann; three sons, David (Dawn) Stuart of Spencer, Joel (Amy) Denger of Wellington, Chip (Lisa) Denger of West Salem; grandchildren, Justin, Alex, Camden, Makayla, Drew, Delaney, and Joshua; and father, Lylle Stuart of Spencer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, June Stuart; step mother, Shirley Stuart; and two grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012, 11 A.M., at the Spencer United Methodist Church, 201 East Main St., Spencer. There will be no calling hours. Reverend Dr. Tim Morrison will officiate. Inurnment will be in Spencer Cemetery.
