Elyria man indicted for rape, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor

ELYRIA — An Elyria man was indicted Thursday on charges for rape and engaging in unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Jeremy Pettry, 32, was booked into Lorain County Jail on Oct. 26 after his arrest by North Ridgeville police.

Pettry, who listed his occupation as “none,” was being held in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Pettry is facing two counts of rape and six counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor charges, stemming from incidents reported between July 2004 and Sept. 22, 2008. The victim was younger than 13 in 2005, according to Lorain County Court of Common Pleas documents.

North Ridgeville police would not provide further details on Pettry’s arrest.
