Cody Hade was walking in the area of 600 Lowell St. about 4:15 p.m. when he was attacked, according to a police report.
The men knocked him to the ground and then began kicking and punching him in the head and shoulders, he told police, and then struck him in the head with an unknown object.
Officers noted that Hade’s lips were cracked and bleeding.
The males then took his Galaxy S II cell phone, which is worth about $500, the report said.
He said his attackers were two black males wearing all black and a Hispanic male wearing khaki pants and a blue hooded sweatshirt.
Hade told police he had recently been speaking to an acquaintance who had been beaten up and robbed, and Hade commented that he had never been assaulted or robbed. Hade told police he suspects the acquaintance might know something about his attack.
