He was the loving father to six children, Leo (wife Lynn), Gregory (wife Deneen), Dana (wife Rita), Timothy (wife Angela), Nanette, Mark (wife Julie).
He is survived by a brother, Loren; and sisters, Betty and Maxine; he was the grandfather to 10 grandchildren, Dana, Wade, Chris, Tamara, Daniel, Erika, Joshua, Tim Jr., Natalie, and Jill; and six great grandchildren.
Lee was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Norma (nee Slusher) in 1988; also by his parents, Charles and Anna; brothers, Henry, Ernest, Charles, and Donald; and sisters, Margaret, Elsie, and Mildred.
He was born in Delia, Kansas, but relocated to Elyria after serving in the Coast Guard during WWII. He was employed by Ridge Tool, and retired after 40 years. Lee was a member of the East Elyria Christian congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where he served as an elder. He found great joy in sharing his Bible hope with others in the local congregation and in the community. He also enjoyed gardening and listening to sports.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at, 39099 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Laurence Jarka will officiate. Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, Amherst is handling the cremation.
