Leona F. Reynolds (nee Watson), 71, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Mercy Regional Medical Center. Born April 28, 1941 in West Virginia, to the late William and Lassie (nee Moore) Watson, Leona lived most of her adult life in Lorain.
For many years she worked at Lorain Printing and then later worked as a processor at Clovervale Foods for a number of years. She was a long time member of Pleasant View Old Regular Baptist Church in Litchfield. Leona enjoyed reading and spending time on the lake. She also took pleasure in traveling, camping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, John (fiancee Cindy Veres) Williams of Lorain; five grandchildren, Mark Williams, Jenelle Williams, Kassondra Secrist, Matt Williams and Kayla Howard; eight great-grandchildren; her brothers, William Watson, Jr. of Ohio and James Watson of Pennsylvania; her sister, Ruth Carter of Ohio; step-sons, Frederick Reynolds and Charles Michael Reynolds; step-daughter, Theresa Taylor; and their families.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Reynolds; son, James Randall Williams; daughter, Geri Lynn Williams; brothers, Elmer Ray Watson and Charles Watson; and her sisters, Edna Louise Varney and Vada Gill.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11 A.M. in the funeral center. Pastor Larry Newsome of Pleasant View Old Regular Baptist Church in Litchfield, and Pastor Matt Jones, of Broadway Assembly, Lorain, will both officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
