Notes: WR Mohamed Massaquoi misses practice with knee injury

BEREA – Receiver Mohamed Massaquoi (knee) didn’t practice today after being limited Wednesday.

Massaquoi missed five games earlier in the season with a hamstring injury. He’s played the last six games, mostly as the No. 3 receiver, and has eight catches.

Tight end Jordan Cameron (head) and defensive end Frostee Rucker (shoulder/hip) also weren’t at practice for the second straight day.

Coach Pat Shurmur said Cameron didn’t feel well Wednesday and is being treated as if he has a concussion. He played all game Sunday in the loss to the Redskins and didn’t report any issues until Wednesday.

Rookie Brad Smelley, who was activated from the practice squad last week, could see action Sunday in Denver if Cameron can’t play. Benjamin Watson is the starting tight end, and Alex Smith plays tight end and fullback.

Rucker said Wednesday he expects to play Sunday.

Receiver Jordan Norwood practiced for the second straight day. He has missed nine games after hurting his foot against the Giants, when he caught a career-high nine passes. He’s on the injured reserve/designated for return list.

PRO BOWL VOTING

Joshua Cribbs won the Pro Bowl fan vote for AFC special teamer with 127,848, the league announced. Fan voting ended Monday.

The AFC and NFC all-star teams are based on the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group’s vote counts one-third toward determining the 43-man rosters. Players and coaches will cast their ballots today and Friday, and the teams will be announced Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning received 993,045 fan votes to lead all players.

Cribbs also finished second in the voting for kick returner, behind Baltimore’s Jacoby Jones

Kicker Phil Dawson moved up to second with a late rally, finishing behind Oakland’s Sebastian Janikowski.

Middle linebacker D’Qwell Jackson (second at inside linebacker), rookie running back Trent Richardson (fifth) and tackle Joe Thomas (fourth) are the other Browns in the top five.

The 2013 Pro Bowl will be played Sunday, Jan. 27.
