Frances Eleanor Frankiewicz (nee Semarge), 91 years old, of Elyria, died on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at St. Mary of the Wood in Avon. A Christmas child, Frances was born on December 25, 1921 in West Newton, Pennsylvania and lived in Elyria for most of her life.
She was employed as an assembler for Bendix Westinghouse, was the Club House Manager at Creekwood Golf Course, and at one time was the housekeeper and honorary family member at Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home.
Frances was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She loved gardening, knitting, and she was an excellent cook who enjoyed baking. Her other hobbies included golfing and boating.
Frances is survived by one daughter, Victoria Jean (Ken) Peace of Fairlawn; three sons, Dr. Ronald G. (Yvonne) of Houston, Texas, Joseph Martin, Jr. (Diane) of Vienna, Virginia, and Walter E. (Monica) of Marblehead; fourteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Joseph Semarge of Hunker, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. in 2004; one son, Larry Michael Frankiewicz, D.D.S. in 1994; and ten brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria, on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M. Closing prayers will be in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M., Friday, December 28, 2012 followed by Mass at St. Mary Church, 320 Middle Ave., Elyria, at 10 A.M. with the Reverend Father John Seabold officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
