Dale David Rutherford, 55, of Sheffield Lake, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born July 8, 1957, in Norwalk to Charles and Joyce (nee Stanley).
Dale grew up in the Wellington area and was a 1975 graduate of Wellington High School. He had been living in Tennessee for the past six years. Dale retired from Ford Motor Company after nearly 32 years having worked in three different plants. He retired as a group leader. Dale was a member of the Wellington Masonic Lodge 127, a member of the UAW and an auxiliary member of the Wellington VFW. Dale enjoyed wood working, gardening, listening to music, and enjoying his sweets. He also cherished time with his children and grandchildren.
Dale is survived by his wife, whom he had been with for the past 15 years, Donna (nee Schuster); his children, Adam, Curtis and Carly Grace; and step-children, Jessica Leigh and Adam (Amber) Scott; grandchildren, Hannah and Hunter; Dale was also survived by his parents, Charles and Joyce Rutherford; siblings, Sandy Plaskett, Lisa (Dennis) Norton, and Dennis (Michelle) Rutherford.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Steven and Roger.
Friends and family will be received Friday, December 28, 2012 at Norton Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington, from 11 to 2 P.M., and from 4 P.M. until the time of a Masonic service beginning at 7:30 P.M. with a memorial service following.
