Friday, Dec. 28
9:52 a.m. — 2200 block West River Road, N., theft of catalytic converter from vehicle. Two other vehicles in the parking lot were reportedly damaged when someone attempted to remove catalytic converters from them.
4:23 p.m. — 100 block Bell Ave., reported theft of copper pipes from a vacant home.
7:25 p.m. — Midway Boulevard and Tillotson Street, Kennisha Smith, 27, arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. Smith was stopped in relation to a robbery earlier at Sears, and police found clothing items with security devices still on them in her car. Smith denied stealing the items and said a man she knew had stolen them. Police were searching for a man who had reportedly stolen items from Sears and ran from officers, assaulting a security guard, while an officer was collecting the man’s information.
10:33 p.m. — 100 block Lake Ave., police found a red Pontiac Trans Sport in the River Walk parking lot that was reported stolen through the Cleveland Police Department. The vehicle was towed and impounded.

Saturday, Dec. 29
12:50 a.m. — 1300 block Middle Ave., theft of a television, laptop and camcorder during a home burglary.
1:30 a.m. — 6200 block West River Road, S., Benjamin Carter, 34, same address, arrested and charged with felony domestic violence. The mother of Carter’s children said Carter punched and kicked her multiple times, possibly breaking her arm and nose after he had been in an altercation with another man at the liquor store. Police said the woman had scratches on her arm and blood on her face. Carter has a prior domestic violence conviction in 1998 and two prior complaints in 2009 and 2012, according to police.
2:15 a.m. — 100 block Antioch Drive, Justin Christian, 25, 300 block Broad St., arrested and charged with disorderly conduct persisting. Police said Christian fought two patrons at Stubby’s Pub and Grub and then tried to fight his way back inside the bar after he was removed. Police said Christian’s friends tried to take him home, but Christian was intoxicated and refused to cooperate, yelling at police officers.

Thursday, Dec. 27
11:50 a.m. — Kansas Avenue near Colorado Avenue, Antonio Santiago, 32, 800 block Euclid Ave., Lorain, arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and a stop-light violation. Police said Santiago ran a red light and nearly struck a police cruiser.
1:39 p.m. — 3100 block Victory Ave., a woman said she and her 8-year-old daughter were nearly run over by the driver of a Ford Ranger as they walked west on East 31st Street near Globe Avenue. Due to snow, they were walking in the street and said the truck drove by fast and splashed a large amount of slush on them and then turned around twice and drove by, splashing them with slush. Police said the woman gave them the license of the truck, but they had no time to speak to the driver because of numerous calls. They said a report would be on file and told her to follow up with the prosecutor’s office.
1:48 p.m. — 2300 block Apple Ave., Nakaya Townsend, 21, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest. Police said they witnessed Townsend, who is five months pregnant and whose mother said her daughter is bipolar, spit on her mother after repeatedly cursing her. They said Townsend kicked and spit at officers and tried to bite them while being handcuffed and kicked out the window of a police cruiser after freeing herself of leg restraints placed on her.
4 p.m. — 800 block W. 29th St., a driver said his  $700 snowblower was stolen from his pickup that was parked in a driveway. He said the theft occurred between 3 p.m. when he entered the house and 3:50 p.m., when he returned to the truck.

Friday, Dec. 28
2:36 p.m. — 2600 block W. Erie Ave., a woman reported $60 cash stolen from her purse after she picked up a relative who was walking on the street. The relative denied taking the money.
3:28 p.m. —1100 block Tower Boulevard, Steven Majcher, 53, homeless, issued a summons for disorderly conduct persisting. Police said Majcher was intoxicated and sleeping at Autumn Aegis Retirement Community.
10:16 p.m. — 1000 block E. 35th St., Burrell Carter, Jr., 29, 3500 block Clifton Ave., arrested and charged with menacing. A man told police Carter had been released from prison and confronted him with a gun because he wanted helping robbing people. Carter said he was confronting the man about money owed to him. Police said Carter had warrants through Lorain County Sheriff’s Office and Cleveland Police Department.

Saturday, Dec. 29
1:03 a.m. — 3000 block Colorado Ave., Raymond Woods, III, 36, 2900 block Lincoln St., arrested and charged with criminal trespass. A clerk at Sunoco said Woods was loitering in the parking lot and harassing customers for money.
