Steelers lead Browns 17-10 after 3 quarters

PITTSBURGH – Things heated up in the third quarter in the season finale at Heinz Field.

The Browns and Steelers scored touchdowns, and the pushing, shoving and trash-talking reached a new level.

The Steelers led 17-10 entering the fourth quarter following a 9-yard touchdown from Ben Roethlisberger to Antonio Brown.

The Browns had tied the game at 10 on Thaddeus Lewis’ first career touchdown pass. He bought time, slid left and found receiver Greg Little crossing the back of the end zone for a 5-yard score.

The game was chippy from the start, but it escalated following Phil Taylor’s forearm to Pittsburgh’s Kelvin Beachum behind the play. Beachum left the game and was checked for a concussion, and on the next play the Steelers went after Taylor.

The fighting continued throughout the quarter, and Browns defensive linemen Ahtyba Rubin and Billy Winn were penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct on Pittsburgh’s extra point.
