$2 million bond set for Lorain murder suspect

LORAIN — Bond was set at $2 million for accused killer Desmen Noble, who is facing a murder charge for the New Year’s Day shooting that left one dead and three wounded.

Noble, 31, was arrested Wednesday by Lorain police on a murder charge and had an initial appearance this morning in Lorain Municipal Court.

Police have said that Noble opened fire at Liberty Gas on Broadway shortly before 4 a.m. on Tuesday in what officers believe was the continuation of a dispute that arose earlier in the morning at the Cotton Club.

Herman Seagers died from his injuries and three other men, Tallis Moore, Allen Tate and Damien Bell, were injured in the shooting. Police have said they don’t believe Seagers was the target of the shooting.
