Aileen Kelley (Keith), 86, of Venus, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie, Texas. She was born August 2, 1926 in Somerset, Kentucky, to Syrene and Mossie (New) Keith.
Aileen was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. She loved to grow and nurture flowers. Aileen was a loving mother and grandmother (known to all of her grandchildren as Granny). Aileen never met a stranger.
Survivors include her four sons and their spouses, Kerry (Janice), Keith (Carla), Barry (Linda) and Joey; her daughters and their spouses, Susan (Rodney) and Sherry (George); her brother, Eugene (Etta); 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, five step grandchildren, and 12 step great grandchildren, and four step great great-grandchildren; her nieces, Donna (John) and Kathy (Mark).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben “Jimmy” Kelley; her parents, Syrene and Mossie Keith (nee New).
Friends may call Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11 A.M. at Trinity Evangelical Free Church, 46485 Middle Ridge Road, Amherst. The Rev. Arnold Fleagle, Sr. Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
