Highway Patrol makes 14 alcohol-related arrests in first week of 2013

The Elyria post of the State Highway Patrol has made 14 alcohol-related arrests in the first week of 2013, according to a news release.

Thirteen people were arrested for OVI — operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs or a combination of them, according to the patrol.

  • Charles Rodriguez Jr., 36, of Lorain
  • Schonda Edwards, 35, of Mansfield
  • Jesus M. Roman-Bonilla, 29, of Lorain
  • Manzig L. Williams, 55, of Lorain
  • Alison E. Keller, 19, of Grafton
  • Tricia L. Matheney, 25, of Elyria
  • Tim P. Long, 37, of Elyria
  • Beth M. Curiale, 18, of Brunswick
  • Jared Heberling, 31, of Amherst
  • Erinn Coats, 41, of Elyria
  • Vernon Ross Shallenberger, 26, of Elyria

Nicholas Davenport, 18, of Elyria was arrested for operating a vehicle after underage consumption.

According to the news release, “The patrol reminds motorists to always drive sober and wear your safety belt.”
