Margaret L. Wallencheck (nee Potts), 74, of Elyria, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville, after a lengthy illness. She was born March 9, 1938 in Cleveland, and has been a lifelong resident of Elyria.
Margaret was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria. She enjoyed traveling to Mountaineer Casino with her husband, bingo, crafts, camping and gardening, particularly her purple Clematis plants. Her greatest pleasure was found in spending time with her family, who enjoyed her great cooking.
She is survived by her sons, Edward “Gunny” of Texas, John and Paul of Elyria, Phillip (Kimberly Dyer) of Lorain, Thomas (Misty) of Elyria, Larry (Stacey) of Utah and Mark and David of Elyria; daughter, Cyndi (Nabil) Habib of Parma; brothers, Bob Potts of Olmsted Falls, Timothy Potts of Hinckley and Michael Potts of Litchfield; sisters, Cathy Breda of Medina and Ann Plachko of Olmsted Falls; 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Wallencheck was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edward in 2005; daughter, Susan Wallencheck; parents, Robert D. and Margaret (nee Wicker) Potts.
Funeral Service will be held in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 6 P.M., where family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until time of service. Rev. Bob Franco will officiate.
