Warren “Bud” Poling

Warren “Bud” Poling, 88, of Sandusky (formerly of Elyria) passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, December 30, 2012 at The Ohio Veteran’s Home in Sandusky. He was born February 16, 1924 in Logan.

Bud served in the Army Air Corp, and was a retired Realtor who worked with Russell Realty. He was a member of The Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. Bud enjoyed working, and home repair projects.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Owens of Elyria, Nancy Schuetzner (Irv) of Morgantown, West Virginia. Additional survivors include a sister, Evelyn Rodgers of Elyria; brother, Ralph Poling; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary (nee Crook) Poling; two sisters, Wilma Bainter, Freida Stiverson; and three brothers, Burl, Ray and Roland.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, (440) 322-4626, where friends may call from 10 A.M., until time of services. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria where V.F.W. Post #1079 will provide full military honors.
