Chester H. Kiser, 84, entered into rest Thursday, January 17, 2013 at his home. Mr. Kiser was born August 5, 1928 in Leighton, Alabama, son of the late Benjamin and Lela (Suggs) Kiser and had lived in Avon for the past 48 years, coming from Detroit, Michigan.
Mr. Kiser retired from PPG Industries after 38 years of service in Production Engineering. He was involved in Avon Little League for many years and enjoyed RVing, traveling, fishing, gardening, boating, golfing and tinkering on his family projects.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (nee Hecker) Kiser; four children, Janet (Robert deceased) Milicic, Ronald (Laurie), Robert (Patty), Dale (Sabrina); nine grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Marie, Lauren, Colin, Grace, Zachary, Sodapop and Cooper; two great grandchildren, Daniel and Kyle.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna.
Friends will be received Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon, where funeral service will be held Monday, January 21, 2013, at 10 A.M. Pastor Elizabeth Krall of Avon United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
