Ronald “Ralph” Charles Bailey, 74, of Belpre, Ohio passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, West Virginia. He was born March 13, 1938 in Oberlin, a son of the late Floyd A. and Treva J. Rosecrans Bailey.
Ron was retired from LTV Steel as a foreman of tractor maintenance. He enjoyed bluegrass music, television westerns, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandkids. He was a former member of the Belpre Lions Club and the Antique Tractor Association.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon D. Adams Bailey; a daughter, Stacie L. Matthews, of Cuyahoga Falls; three sons, Christopher A. Bailey (Tammie) of Elyria, Randy C. Bailey (Gerri) of Belpre, and Matthew A. Bailey of Elyria; 11 grandchildren: 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Janice McConeghy, of Cropwell, Alabama; and a brother, Larry Bailey, of Oberlin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Stump.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio with Pastor Denise Humphries officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the funeral home.
