Marie L. Knoble

Marie L. Knoble, 64, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Welcome Nursing Home, in Oberlin. Marie was born in Amherst October 22, 1948 to her loving parents, Joseph L. Knoble Jr. and Mary D. (nee Buras) Knoble.

She graduated from Firelands High School, Class of 1966, and received her Associate Degree from Lorain County Community College. Marie retired from Lorain County Probation Department as Manager of the Forensics Lab. She was most recently employed with Bay Arts in Bay Village. She was a member of the Garden Club in Florida where she lived for seven years. She loved photography, lifelong learning, art, kayaking, nature, bird-watching, watching the sunrise at the beach, traveling, sewing, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Mary D. Knoble; daughter, Lisa M. (nee Zink-Seaman) Ward; grandsons, Nathan E. and Jacob N. Ward; granddaughter, Elisabeth R. Ward; siblings, Laura (Mike) Borkowski, Joan (Norm) McNary, Marian (Bob) Kovach, Paul (Dawn) Knoble, Anne (Paul) Callahan, Joe (Tanya) Knoble, Tom (Antoinette) Knoble, and Kathy (Chuck) Rotuno; and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry N. Seaman; and father, Joseph L. Knoble Jr.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961, Thursday, January 24, 2013, from 4 to 7 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, January 25, 2013, at St. Mary Church, 320 Middle Ave., Elyria, Reverend Charles T. Diedrick, Pastor, officiating (please meet at church). Christian internment services will be held at Calvary Cemetery, in Lorain.
